Hi, I'm Rosh, I've programmed guitar rigs for Steve Vai, Def Leppard, Melissa Etheridge, Dweezil Zappa, A Perfect Circle, and more.

I'll be uploading a tutorial series on how to program an AxeFX III.

Contact me if you have any questions or need any one on one help.

Fantastic demo, now I finally have a better handle on routing my effects.

Awesome video! Can you do a video on setting up the guitar mixed with violin patch that Dweezil uses?

Your tips are gold! Now I have to go back to my presets to "correct" them, LOL, means running Rev and Dly in parallel. Should have thought about it right from the start! Thanks!

Thanks Rosh! This really helped me out.

Wow. I feel Neo starting to see the matrix. Been reverbing my delays the entire time I've owned this thing.

Hello Rosh... future topics I would be interested in seeing would be uses for the “USB IN” block & “Pitch” block regarding diatonic harmonies & custom scales.. enjoying the videos. Thanks

rosh, much thanks for this "series" pun intended. question for you. is there some benefit/drawback to having reverb and delay 1 above/1 below the dry signal vs having say, both of them adjacent to one another (no shunt connecting them other than to the dry signal)? hope this makes sense.

Thanks a lot. I wouldn't have considdered not running the reverb and delay in series before. The three snakes (dry, rev, del) in parallel made for a nicely focused tone in this high gain scenario :-)

So very very helpful - especially to a 71 yr.old - i only had to watch this one 6 times to get it - but get it i did.
If you reduced your speech speed by 15% it would be helpful.
Thanks
Al Heimer!

This is great but I do have a question...what do you need to check when you're trying parallel and thru fx layouts and you get really noticeable volume drops? Thanks.

How does the input gain as a scene controller play into this ?

Regarding the volume increase… I always wanted a setup kind of where my amp is there, and I could just flip on effects as desired to experiment. Is there a way that I’m missing to be able to flip parallel effects on and off without a big variation in volume? Is it better to just have separate presets or scenes to accomplish this?

I’m a little new to this. I made it very far through my career going dry AF. I still do have an appreciation for dry in fact lol. I don’t want reverb on at all times, that’s for sure.

Can you run the delay and verb in series on a separate path? Personally I prefer my delays to be reverberated because it’s more natural IMO.

this sounds awesome but where do you put a chorus bock without killing the volume

I’ve noticed that when I setup a Plex verb in the same manner (100% mix and input gain) there’s a noticeable volume drop when Plex verb is engaged. I can’t figure out why. Thanks.

WHATS UP ROSH! GREAT If using say two delays in parallel, how would I get both assigned to the same switch on FC-12 to toggle both off and on at the same time?

awesome man. thank you! just wondering, are there any work arounds for people with cheaper modelers that dont have parallel routing such as on the line 6 pod go?

What if i want to run verb and delay in parallel but without the dry signal shunt, should i use 50%mix +3db level on verb and 100%mix 100% input gain on delay to retain the same volume when bypassed?

Thanks for making this series btw, top quality educational content.

I usually try to do this in most of my presets but in some of them when one of the two (reverb/delay) is bypassed i still get a boost in level, also when only one is bypassed. Any help?
