How to Play DEFCON Demo Version (A Full 1v1 Game in 1080p HD)

Finally, you can fulfill your fantasies of nuclear Armageddon without spending a penny... Introversion Software produced DEFCON back in 2006, which includes a playing style that strangely resembles the "big boards" in the movie War Games. They also posted the demo version of the software, and in this video, I play an entire 1v1 game from the demo.

I also run through the various units in the game, as well as a few unorthodox strategies that *usually* give me an edge. The entire game lasts about 45 minutes, so feel free to skip ahead if you're running short on viewing time. Well, that was the main inspiration for the game, and there are loads of references if you look for them. Think of it as the Global Thermonuclear War simulator as an actual game.

Okay I need some tech help. I have the downloaded version of the demo. At first the game worked fine and everything, but now after a month of having it every time I click new game the country selection screen/lobby page doesn't show up, only the comms screen appears. Can someone help me on this?
