I believe it is important to mention that when traveling, it is crucial to (obviously) demonstrate respect for the local culture and people by making an effort to learn the language of the destination, and tipping. I do CARGO ZIPPER joggers. So cargo a lot of pockets, AND zippers on each pocket. Those are my go too, got em in multi colors

I was living in Cartagena for six months and I just got back a few weeks ago. Cartagena was fine and I had no problems. However, most of the people that I knew that were robbed or got into trouble were usually those who were out late or just doing stupid stuff that they could have easily avoided.

Shoulder bags are great pieces of gear..i have a few but I only use mine when traveling and moving in the airports. I try to minimize my "visual footprint" when out in the streets be it Sosua, Santo, Medellin etc. I only have what 💰I need to get me through the day so no jewelry, wallet and I even at times leave my phone in the safe unless I am meeting someone. I will probably just get a cheap phone to have for future trips. Great information as always 💯

Yeah I drunk the water in Cartagena back in March . It took a day off my trip bc I was so sick. I recovered the next day and continued on my trip

I just got back from Cartagena and I had about 3 people tell me I should tuck my chain in my shirt. One person told me that if get into an altercation stemming from that you could get into more trouble with the police. Overall I had a good experience and never felt unsafe. But then again grew up in a big city so I'm used to all the precautions used to discussed here.

Don’t take drinks from chicks either. And if you do want to test her leave your drink near her, take a shower or leave the room for a bit (telling her not to move at all) than come back pour out the drinking in front of her and tell her to pour another shot. She will be confused but it will show her subconsciously that you aren’t stupid or going to fall for her games. Yesh taught me that lol
