I like what you're saying in theory, but at number 8, it's really hard to get both an elite QB and an elite TE within the first 5-6 picks while still using those first two picks for an elite WR and heroish RB. I always try to get at least one elite onsie. I guess we'll see what happens. Good stuff though.

I went with this strategy the other night and got Jaylen Hurts, Bijon Robinson, Kyren Williams, Jaylen Waddle, Calvin Ridley, Trey McBride....feel pretty good about it.

12 man, Half PPR. 6 point pass/rush TD’s.

I'm in a start 7 12 team auction league.

I think spending the most of my money on a rb+wr+qb is my best bet. Then getting one of the elite 5 TEs with my reaming $ and finding $1-$3 players for the rest of my team

Got Jaylen & Bijon, lil worried about Jaylen but I’ve built around him pretty well.all the TE went in the first round so I prioritized the WR.

I understand what your saying but for the 8 man start this idea needs to account what scoring format if its PPR, STD or 0.5PPR.

If its ppr there is more emphasis on WRs as they are more likely to be in the flex spots.

So in fact we can assume
Qb + TE = 25%
RB = 25%
WR = 50%

Regardless of the league starters (always 12 team), I've almost always prioritized RB/WR starters and depth over elite QBs and TEs. Occasionally I'll take a TE in round 5 (did round 4 earlier for the first time ever), and usually a QB in 9 or later (7 is the earliest I've ever taken a QB not counting my point per yard league). It's worked out for me more often than not.
Edit: if you take both a QB and TE before round, say, 6, you're missing out on some really good RB/WR starters.
Start 9 12 team league is basically perfect, though.

1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex, 1Superflex, 1D/ST I have the 10th pick in a 12 man league...can't decide if I go heavy WRs, maybe get a nice QB in the 2nd round, maybe go RB early??? QBs usually go pretty quick off the board in my league??? Just generally curious to what positions to draft in the early rounds and what players people are feeling really good about this year in general?

I like this take, for years i drafted rbs early and often, i realized the guy that was filling his starting lineup before depth did great the last couple years, in our strat 7 he went early on qb and te. I always focused on depth of wr rb, and later on qb and te. Im taking this approach this year. Thanks big dog

It’s also a keeper league and I’m keeping CeeDee Lamb and have the 5th pick
Also people take QB way too early like at least two QB go in the first round
