In this episode we transform the workspace in our shed to my ultimate dream shed! We setup a metalwork station, some benches a pegboard, cupboard and more! This DIY shed is an example of what can be done on a budget to your own shed at home, all of the items in todays video are locally sourced and within a tight budget! So keen to get in and work now :)

This really is turning into my dream, I am so fortunate to have this space and to have the means to create content in there for YouTube, so thank you to everyone who watches the videos and supports Roam Lyfe I couldn't of done it without you legends!

If you have room outside the shed, put compressor out there and run lines in, build a little shed/roof for it to keep out rain…will reduce the noise levels inside the shed while on, also get room back under bench.

Perhaps foil backed insulation bats. Much cheaper, will take the echo away, much more resistant to sparks & will help the shed not be a sauna.

Great episode and the shed looks great, but I don't know how safe all that sound deadening would be around all the sparks and welding slag.

Now you have 6 metres of bench space for all your tools to explode out of your toolbox never to be found when needed

Hands down one of the best things I invested in was a band saw. You can cut so accurately with it and it makes life so much easier. I can’t remember what it cost me ($600 ish?) but it was from total tools and cannot fault it. I will never touch the old droppy ever again! Also move the compressor outside. Built a little box for it with those foam sound pads and thank me later. Those pads will catch on fire for sure near where you grind.

Hey mate if you’re going to run hard lines for air through your shed, should build a little roof in the funny corner outside your shed and put it out there, keep noise down when filming and also gives you some more space. Love the content

You should add splash backs on your benches… the best thing I have done

Hey Dude
started watching recently and love the channel especially the shed eps, a pointer for the benches, you are going to go crazy after a while when things roll off the bench and fall behind it because of the gap between the steel frame of the she and the tin, so get some sheet metal as high as you want and put it as like a backboard so that things dont roll off, also i have a metal drop saw and i love it for cutting steel box section or angle iron. keep up the great work bro!!

My garage use to have over 36 feet of bench space. It wrapped all 3 walls of the garage. This winter I’m going to be cutting it back to only 8 feet of bench space and installing some shelving and getting a big filing cabinet for storage. I’ve found the more bench space I have the less organized it ends up getting

Definitely build your own stand for the bench grinder. An old steel rim, a length of pipe and a piece of heavy plate will do the job nicely. Way more useful being able to drag it out to the middle of the shed if needed.

That gel blaster rips I’ve got the same one. I had the rifle one on a table during a rental inspection and the chick threw a tantrum over it. Tables look mint.

Workshop goals right there, all you need is a tube bender for barwork! The sound deadening definitely works

Great layout. The bench space is a good for a couple of projects at a time. Keeping it clear is the challenge. Looking forward to episodes.

I brought a makita cold cut saw for $730 at total tools, very little sparks, cuts like a warm knife through butter, I’ve done 5mm plate but wouldn’t recommend it on the standard blade; buy the heavy duty blade for that, but apart from that extremely happy. Cold to the touch immediately after cutting, very little burs, clamp and angle adjustment mechanisms are great. Not a single complaint.

Minticle job fella. A very worthwhile upgrade is insulating the remaining walls and roof, kerp it cooler/warmer makes it way better to working. Also helps suppress noise. Cheap insulbatts from bunnings and youll be frothing wet dreams for days! Love the channel minty man

looks awesome, id be careful about that metal work bench though, having timber bench top skinned with steel, welding ontop of that & getting it hot will probably burn and catch fire to the timber underneath, only saying this because ive had it done to myself at a mates 😂😂😂

Have a look into some Foil boards ! Bunnings has them, Also should look into a cheap white board ! To write down a to do list, magnet instructions or stuff to & even to write down ideas! Just a thought mate as I put one in my shed and definitely helps me keep track of shit on the good ol to do list !

Definately go with a mitre saw. U can cut all sizes of material and it is simpler to use
