When the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar gets into the hands of customers, 99 percent of them likely won’t be tackling trails through the desert badlands, but that doesn’t mean they can’t.

Land Rover brought us to the outskirts of Palm Springs to show us just what they can do off-road and on winding canyon roads in the area. While owners might not go on any trails as challenging as those we faced crawling over boulders and flying down sandy sideroads, people are still drawn to the brand because of its mystique and its ability to reach the most remote corners of the globe.

If you're buying a Velar you probably don't care about handling because for you it's just a daily runabout. Few Velar owners will do more than just commute to and from work with this.

So, this is another car to add to the list of things to be afraid of when driving on the road.

99% populated by women with far too large sunglasses, solely for the sake of "making them feel safe" because in actual fact they can't drive and therefor lack the confidence to go on the road in anything other than a behemoth like this. In the process of having an accident they can now mow down an unprecedented number of cars and unsuspecting individuals. But hey, at least THEY are safe behind the wheels of their tanks.
