🇮🇷 Iran's Zarif warns US of 'consequences' over oil sanctions | Al Jazeera English

As the US moves to end waivers for countries still buying Iranian oil, Tehran says it will continue to sell its supplies, warning that the US will face consequences if it tries to stop it.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says keeping the world's main oil shipping route - the Strait of Hormuz - open, is in Iran's own interest, despite early threats to close it.
And President Hassan Rouhani says he's open to resuming talks - but only if the US apologises first.

*The U.S. is doing this according the official statement made by Mike Pompeo, because:*

*1. The Iranian government would have used the money to support terror groups as Hamas and Hezbollah.*
(both Hamas - Palestina and Hezbollah - Lebanon are governmental militant groups. This means that one could discuss the label of terrorist groups as stated by the U.S. The reason that these groups are labeled as Terrorist groups is because they stand against Israel.)

*2. The Iranian government would have used the money for continuation of Iran's Missile development.*
(The reason Iran has an missile development is due to several reasons. But the main reasons are: 1. Iran can't buy any missiles from foreign countries because the U.S. won't let them. 2. Iran has been attacked in the Gulf war by Iraq (Iraq was supported with armamants from U.S., Russia, France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany even delivered chemical bombs which took lives of hundred thousands Iranians. Since then Iran has vowed to never be defenceless.)

*3. The Iranian government would have perpetuated the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.*
The crisis in Yemen is a war for profit started by the Saudis with weapons from Israel and U.S. The U.S. senate wanted to end the war in Yemen by stopping the supply of weapons but president Trump VETOd that. Iran supports the houthie minority in Yemen with aid and the red crescent.

*By doing this the U.S. want Iran to comply by the U.S. demand as summed up below, according the official statement made by Mike Pompeo.*

*The official U.S. demands:*

*1. End pursuit of nuclear weapons.*
(Iran has signed any document that needs to be signed and has let the International Atomic Energy Agency in on nuclear sites and complies with the JCPOA. Israel (U.S allie) has never signed any document, never let the IAEA in and has kept the amount of nuclear weapons secret)

*2. Stop testing and proliferating ballistic missiles.*
The ballistic missiles are not set up in the JCPOA and are purely a defence mechanism. With hostile Arab neighbors around the Persian gulf and with U.S. bases surrounding Iran, one could say that these missiles are needed to be able to answer any attack on Iranian soil.)

*3. Stop sponsoring and committing terrorism.*
(15 of the 19 terrorist on 911 were Saudis. Saudi Arabia funds and sponsors Al Qaida, ISIS and many more terrorist organizations around the world. Iran has fought against Al Qaida and ISIS and won each battle. Iran was even attacked by ISIS in 2018. There has not been any official document that says that Iran has committed terrorism.)

*4. Halt the arbitraire detention of U.S. citizens .*
Javad Zarif (Minister of Foreign Affairs - Iran) has suggested to trade prisoners with U.S. 6 months ago in december 2018. The U.S. did not reply on that.
