Falcore, the rhyming structure for the next four lines has to end with the word "forever" rather than one of the "ing" words. Forever rhymes with Together, which is how it ties back to the first rhyme which is an A, A, A, B rhyme scheme, meaning the next four are C, C, C, B.

The fact that the corner says "Map of the Known World", likely means we are going to get a map expansion... or more likely a downward expansion with mermaid/siren content.

Though I wouldn't be shocked at some geological chaos that rearranges the surface of a few of the islands like Old Faithful to "redo" them.

That strange ocean sound, sounds like the red sea but quieter.

It looks like a war map the colours being the territories for the factions I.e. yellow gold hoarders, Red reaper etc

@Falcore. When you go to Athena's Hideout, just at the front of the Captain's Cabin in the water, there's a location where you can bug yourself out. Swim into the spot between the rock and the bow of the ship and jump. You'll spawn underwater near the Sea Dogs Haven, have a friend bring a ship there because you'll no longer have a visible name-tag. However, you'll also have no distance fog or murk underwater. Get near that spot with the noises and look down.

The map could be showing how the brethren were planned to divide the sea among themselves. Since there are six members including the captain.

Theory: a recent sot post talked about the factions and mermaid gems. Maybe the different colours on the map represent the factions, and doing something with the merfolk in that area will do something relating to that faction. Lots of 'something' I know

As an experiment, fly the emissary flag of each faction in each of the regions with their supposed faction colors and see what happens over time, focus on mermaid gems and be sure to collect the faction missions when you reach level V.

I have been getting these sounds, scared me to death when doing a good hoarder vault. I wonder if it is a sound for maybe ocean crawlers about to board your ship in the next update

We heard that sound over a month ago on ShnoozeTV's stream. VOD from 23th July still existing. Time stamp is 4h 51min. When we looked up, a ship appeard above our heads, looking like a screenshot, merged into the water. With longer investigation, it seemed to be our ship, sailing to a new horizon. Never happened again. We were near the arena rock.

Falcore, I believe the song is sung by or is about the sirens. I don’t remember the lyrics of the first half but they’re from the Sunken Pearl tale. I’m certain it’s about locking away sailors like how the sirens or Dimitri were locked away. The siren queen wants revenge, and given that sailors were inprisioned or turned into ocean crawlers is part of that vengeance.
I also think that whirlpool is where a large siren temple will be coming from. The sounds we hear are probably other siren temples being built, like magic is creating them.
If you remember the journal in A Pirate’s Life (not the hidden ones) it shows what the sirens have planned. Large spires with ships built into them that cover the ocean. The map could possibly be where specific ships are put? Or it’s a faction war.
One thing that caught my attention in the Sunken Pearl is the mysterious voice that tells us to seek the Pearl’s crew, at first I thought this was the siren queen but she used some sort of magic to draw us in but then I noticed last night that her voice changed and the mysterious voice said “I will use what little influence I have.” Since it’s a female voice, and it makes sense that a GHOST would have influence like this, I think we’ll be seeing that ghost lady pirate with the black clothes and green eyes at some point.

So glad I came back to this game. When I took a break, it was still a bare-bones title. But now, the seas have so much more depth to them

Hey Falcore, 2 things:
Firstly, each outpost has lines going away from them in the directions of a compass.
Secondly, behind the lyrics is a swirl which could be foreshadowing a cataclysm-like event that creates a whirlpool maelstrom like from Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Or it could be hinting at the merging of two worlds or dimensions.

Someone on reddit (u/Thopterthallid) pointed out that the strange stains on the map are roughly shaped like the outposts. But there are only six stains but seven outposts in the game. Where is Galleon's Grave?

The more I look at it the more vibes I get some sort of faction warfare the colors must mean something they each have 1 outpost inside makes me think some kind of faction warfare

The strange sound under the water sounds like a heart beat, also I’m surprised Falcore didn’t look at the word power in the Gold Hoarder coloured spot.

You can see the faction logos on the coloured parts of the map and the words are only on the faction parts
