The video work "Brod" deals with the fate of heavy industry in the conditions of economic transition, through the theme of the failed "Uljanik" shipyard. The visual part of the work consists of shots (both static and recorded by a drone) that were taken in Uljanik’s current post-apocalyptic ambience - abandoned workshops, a half-finished ship on the slipway, frozen cranes, machines that are shut off and the like. The audio part of the work consists of sounds recorded during protests (shouts, sirens, trumpets), historical speeches and the noise of work in the metal industry. The fusion of sound and image connects life and death, commenting the current social, political and economic conditions in our environment. This work is also an introduction to a documentary film of the same title, which is currently in production.
