This video introduces the concept of power. Power is the rate of energy transfer i.e. the amount of energy transferred in a given time. The unit of power or what power is measured in is watts, W, which are equivalent to joules per second, J/s.
A process that transfers more energy in less time has a greater power than a process that transfers less energy in more time.
The equation for power is: power = energy/time or P = E/t
