What does it take to migrate an on-premise datacenter with 100PB of Hadoop storage across more than 2500 servers and 170+ applications across 22 engineering teams in 5 time zones to the cloud in 12 months? To make something of this magnitude possible there is significant behind the scenes work required across a multitude of teams and departments in a company. How do you approach the financial, technical, political, logistical, governance and cultural (DevOps) dimensions of the challenge?
