I didn't know the Vivaldi Season can be played with so few people. I'm used to a bigger orchestra sound but this is perhaps the most energetic version with even tempo.

I always LOVE to imagine what Vivaldi and other composers would have done had they been able to use the modern Rock Drum Kit. I mean, when you hear a movement like this, you can't help but think that Vivaldi would have absolutely rocked tf out with some drums!

Great heavens, they sounded every inch the Berlin Philharmonic! even though they were playing as a small ensemble, the true Berlin sound was there to be heard. Fantastic string attack / fantastic precision / fantastic expressivo. Who could ask for more.

At 0:46, Daishin has an incredible attack and mastery of the solo, and at first it almost seems too rubato to be baroque, but he’s so skillful that even if you kept a metronome on, he still lands perfectly on the tutti downbeat!
