DENISON, IOWA, LIGHTNING STRIKE....August 31, 2014

The moment that would change my life forever. I was on the right side of this video while my son Derrick, 22, was behind this camera. We were forced to use auto focus this evening due to a variety of reason, that is why it gets unfocused when the bolt of lightning strikes 20-30 feet in front of us. You will hear Derrick yell for me and his state of panic grows and grows with each scream of my name. I don't know if I got hit by a forked part of the lightning or by a surge in electricity that ensued after the bolt struck. I am still in extreme pain when posting this some 10 days later. I was paralyzed for around 1-2 hours after the lightning.
