There's just this deep undercurrent of sadness in Twin Peaks. Always makes me feel a little melancholy for reasons I can't quite discern. Don't really want to, either.

I can't stop listening. I feel incredibly depressed and hopeful at the same time. I feel a spiritual closeness with Duggie. I live an empty life, the meaning of which is determined by other people, and I just float in this stream of other people's ideas. It seems to me that I need to take just one small step to wake up and then my life will be filled with meaning, I will return a long-lost piece of myself. But no matter how hard I try, I can't, it only plunges me even deeper into a deep emotional sleep in which dreams and hopes gradually fade. I hope someone or something will one day show me the right path, before I die, never having time to get out of this meaningless existence.

This is maybe the very best ending of an episode in the whole world

The Ending of that Episode got me the most in yet another incredible, catching entry in the Twin Peaks Series.

Sometimes, just sometimes i really feel the emptiness that this song leaves on me.

Dougie Jones in front of that statue is one of the best sequences in television history. This melody transports you to the oniric universe of Twin Peaks. David Lynch and Johnny Jewel are two masters in creating sensations and atmospheres.

I don't know why but I keep coming back to this and never fail to shed a tear while listening. This is literally the best music that can describe what Cooper might have felt being stuck for 25 years. Lost opportunities, what could've been, all gone in a blink of an eye. I really hope the true ending of twin peaks is from the Fire Walk With Me. where no matter what happens, at least Dale and Laura will both be comforted in the end.

I think all people who have a void in the heart or soul will feel this song really deep, like Cooper in the Twin Peaks scene of this song. I do everytime i listen to it. People who arent with us anymore, people who decide dont stay with us, all the missed things in life. For the show, Cooper was not the only one who missed sheriff Harry Truman.

This feels like when you're a kid with all the others in the house sleeping, and the TV ends its transmission for the evening with some relaxing music and a moody picture (I grew up with only a single TV-channel).

When Dougie is gazing longingly at the Cowboy's shoes, I kept asking what is the symbolism here? Then I remember during the third episode when he goes through the plug socket, his shoes are left behind. His soles/soul? I dunno. But, Dougie wanders throughout the third series soulless.

I hope one day I will be able to put into words to explain the genius of this song / this scene

I always think about this scene, so melancholic. I love how The Return did that with a lot of the end credits, have a contemplative scene play out that just leaves you with a lingering feeling.

Dale cooper was the best man ive ever watched. Theres so much evil and pain, and he knows it, it eats him up alive. But he stands out there, and helps people even when they arent apart of his goal. Like lucy and andy... To most they seemed useless, dumb but to dale cooper. They were friends, someone to help the case in twin peaks and they did.

Dale cooper is a all around good guy, he helped harry over his dead lover, harry was in such a bad state. But he came around when dale was there saying things.

Dale cooper is my role model .... And i know im way to young to say that but he is.

Found this at a time where minutes ago I felt so apathetic there wasn’t a shred of fight left in me. With battling Bud Bushnell waiting for Coop in that building and Janey-E at home, there’s still hope for tomorrow.

Finally found it, thank you for posting this!
To me the scene with Coop/Dougie drawing ladders and scribble was incredibly sad since I felt it was his subconcious realizing that he tried so hard to escape the red room only to be lost in himself. And this beautiful and tragic music played a huge part in this.

On of the best scenes in the entire Twin Peaks

it makes you want to climb into the screen and wander around that nite time abandoned Las Vegas business park with a cigarette and a cool drink; something similar in color to all that soft warm beige, a creamy iced coffee perhaps, all smooth like.

The symbolism is very clear to me... It's very sad but hopeful : )

Yo lo expreso en español. Esta escena me conmovió extremadamente. Me pareció algo mágico. Enhorabuena para el compositor Johnny Jewel y por supuesto para el equipo de Twin Peaks. Por cierto, soy español, de Europa. Por si alguien no se entera. Saludos y abrazos para todos
