Carbon pricing trends

Carbon prices are rising slowly but remain too low to have a significant impact on curbing climate change. Governments need to do more to bring carbon taxes and prices for emissions trading permits in line with the real cost to the climate on emissions if they are to meet their commitments under the Paris Agreement.
