Waiting on the comment: But they only do chainsaws !! On a serious note, saw them in London and they are gorgeous, looking forward to find out how they ride.

Vitpilen = White Arrow
Svartpilen = Black Arrow

For those out there not speaking Swedish :-)

the legendary Steve McQueen loved their race bikes back in the early 70's, he would dig these new models

You know Jay takes his motorcycle gear seriously when you see the excess skin off his neck flapping as he talks due to having his full-face helmet correctly cinched. Seen too-many people not cinching the D-ring strap correctly and seen too-many helmets fly off due to this. Good stuff, Jay. Love how he's bringing motorcycles closer to a younger audience and actually talking about motorcycles not very common in the USA.

As a Swede and a fellow Vitpilen 701 lover I tank you Jay Leno for this. Its so cool seeing a motorist like you with the ears against the ground. Once again thank you!!

I'm only 12 minutes in but I'm amazed, given the hassle Jay gave the guys about the name, that the Husky reps didn't explain what Vitpilen and Svartpilen means ("White Arrow" and "Black Arrow" in case you didn't know....). Looking forward to having a go on one of these

Just used a 401 as my daily rider for around 6 months. Absolutely great. No major issues encountered. I wish the tank was a bit bigger, the awkward notch needs getting used to when gripping the tank. The fuel capacity of the small tank affects range as well. Overall, these Husky bikes are great.

I really love the minimalistic appearance and the complex engineering that went into these bikes. They all look very cool 😎 and fun to ride. These are urban street fighters.

In Sweden we like to push words together, so Vitpilen is actually the two words Vit and Pilen meaning the White Arrow, Svart is Black and Silver is Silver. Vit is pronounced Veet and Pilen would be Peelen.

I got the 2021 401 Svartpilen, had ridden an r6 before. Absolutely love it, it's just plain fun! For my urban commuting on occasion, a total blast, plenty of power

I drove Husqvarna 250s fully automatic in the Swedish army back in the beginning of the 90s. Great motorcycle. We drove them in the winter with skies on the sides. Great memories. Very reliable bike for sure! These look awesome.

Hard to believe this is 6 years ago now! I absolutely love my 401 Svartpilen. I fall in love with it every time I ride it.

I've been daily commuting on a '20 Svartpilen for about 7mo (1k miles/mo) now and its an amazing machine... eventually the clutch slave will come apart, but aside from that, very solid. This was an upgrade for me from an SV650 after 12yrs on that. Thumper life is the best life.

I've ridden Husky's all my life in the dirt and have loved them all. I was really surprised to find the had no idea that these bikes existed. Very exciting! Thanks for putting this up, view "Jay Leno's Garage" all the time and find it always interesting and generally learn a lot from each segment. Keep up the good work!

I liked Andy Jefferson, he wasn't trying to hard sell these bikes. He was down to earth and was able to have a conversation without shoving these products, bikes, down your throat. And that would make me more likely to purchase one.

Just was lucky enough to see the 701 in person! Amazing design style. Even better in person! I want one NOW!!

Many years ago I owned a Triumph Daytona 500. In those days it was a "mid-sized" motorcycle. The size and weight was very close to the 401. I rode that bike all over Europe and up and down the east coast of the US. I wonder if it is time to downsize. I like these bikes.

Great episode. Wikipedia says that Moto Guzzi, also a small company deserving of a profile, is “the oldest European manufacturer in continuous motorcycle production”.
