In case you didn't know the reason Candy corn tastes the way it does is because it is a combination of sugar, corn syrup, honey, vanilla, and butter.

If you've ever wondered what the flavor if candy corn is, it's that. Buttery, vanilla-y honey that's been partially crystallized. The butter being added is what gives it it's soft chewy texture, since it prevents the sugar from forming a hard candy
