It's kind of shocking just how LONG gardening has been broken in this game. Like we know the sims team have a lot on their plate but I can't imagine what's going on on the back end that has perpetually broken gardening for like half a decade now. I just want to play stardew and story of seasons in the sims 😭 is that too much to ask

KAYLA!! One of my absolute favourite little hacks for the dog bed, is to use the jungle adventure debug basket and size it up once. Then take the circular dog bed and size it down once. Then raise the dog bed one time and put it inside the basket it looks sooo cute and it's fully functional!!! 💕🐶

Tiny pet peeve from someone who grew up in an old farmhouse. The core of the building is probably older than plumbing and electricity (especially in England). So bathrooms and kitchens are usually in the additions/wings. The original rooms are often larger (my bedroom was 20x18!), and the fireplaces are usually on both floors using the same two chimneys.

Playability and creative license are VERY important. But considering the history of the building might be a fun, flavorful challenge sometime.

I’d love to see you rebuild the Princess Cordelia cottage lot in Henford. It’s a nice starter home, but I wish there was a more pricey upgraded version (maybe using the Cordelia furniture set)

When my father was stationed in England, back in the mid-'80s, we had the opportunity to rent a 150 year old farmhouse. It was on the property of the still-working cattle farm - both owned by the local co-op - which meant having to be careful about keeping both gates and the garage doors firmly shut or risk having cows in the garden(yard - though there was a small 'farming' garden at the far end).

I keep wanting to recreate it as a miniature... but maybe I'll start with trying to rebuild it in the Sims first. I tried once, but that was before platforms, and there are two rooms that are... how to put it... the one off the kitchen decended about two feet, and the one off of that one another two feet. Not enough to try to make into a basement, but since I liked the quirkiness of them, didn't want to just ignore it. I think with platforms I can maybe(?) start with the lowest room elevation at ground level, and raise the rest of it up? It would mean stairs at the doorways, though... and that would cause issues with other exterior work...

I dunno, I'll see what I can do. If I actually succeed, I may upload it. If you see a house titled "Raunds Farmhouse" or something like, then I managed to make it work.

Before laptops and smart phones were ubiquitous, I definitely spent time in houses that had a desk and computer tucked into that extra space in the upstairs hallway. It only feels odd now because so many people don’t have a dedicated computer desk anymore.

I'm actually obsessed with this!! I love that the cottage is so small, but still big enough for a family. Often times, the small cottages on farm lots have one bedroom and no room to grow. 😅😂 This is so perfect! I'm definitely going to make a sim just for this lot. ♥

You should definitely try building a farm with space for every single animal in the game! This is so fun but it would've been even cooler with Llamas etc

I made a Kentucky horse farm for the gallery a few months ago and I relate so hard to your struggles with the barn/stable. It took me a WEEK to finish that build but I am so proud of it. I made it on the biggest residential lot in Henford (which looks a lot like Kentucky honestly) so I was able to include a pond.

Also, no worries about the desk in corridors Kayla, I do the same thing in my builds lol. It's honestly realistic for working class families! Growing up, my family would fit a desk wherever we had an empty nook for the family computer because in a house of 2 adults and 4 kids all of the legit rooms were needed for bedrooms.

I always find walking from a kitchen, through other rooms to get to a dining table weird. It would make more sense to place dining and kitchen together, and living area beyond.

I personally like playing with as little mods as possible in almost all games I play, so I love that Kayla doesn't use that many mods!

When you changed the sofa from brown lether to red, I thougt of my grandma, she has a red lether sofa, and that exact redish tone to!❤
