That "Chef Juan" threw me off more than I thought it would

If you watch the video at 0.5x speed, it sounds like Chef John had a few too many Micheladas!

I do ice two limes, splash of clamato, salt, pepper, tapatio tajin which is a type of sour chili powder and then add the beer. I rim the glass with tajin too. Way better than salt

"That's up to you and your cabeza to decide what cerveza." LMAO!!

Salud Chef John!

My dad used to drink beer and tomato juice, back in the day. In the '70's, micro-brewing was not in fashion, and the commercial beers all tasted the same, so I can see why some people would want to "mix it up" a bit for a different taste experience.

This looks like a very interesting twist on the whole thing, especially with the fresh veggies being used, and the spices.

I would love to try making my own tomato juice. I’m from a border town where micheladas are very popular. I prefer mine on the spicy side with Clamato. Which is tomato and clam juice. I’ll have to make some Clamato at home.

Some say they like the look of it but not the sound, and some say they like the sound of it but not the look...

well I think it looks and sounds incredible! Hot sauce, tomato juice, beer and lime are some of my favourite things on this earth!

thanks, chef

Listening to you *always* cheers me up. No matter what. It might be the food, but I'm going to credit Chef John's jokes and lilting voice.

I usually love your twists on regular recipes but for me at least, the Michelada is the simpler the better: a shot of lemon juice, regular lager, and salt (with maybe merkén) on the brim. BEST DRINK EVER. Cheers from Chile.

200 pounds? That's not bad at all.

Always a favorite. a close second on the obscure yet refreshing summer beverage list, or perhaps even a narrow first, is the calimocho. 1 part dry red wine and 1 part coke with lots of ice. Perhaps the best part of this one is that the third one is just as easy to make as the first two.

You might try Russian Tomato Gose from Pivot Point, Tarkos or Salden's. Those beers taste awesome!

In Chile this drink is extremely common, except that here it is beer with lemon juice and the rim of the glass is salt with a smoked chili pepper powder called merken (you would love it)
