Charlie Teo speaks out against allegations of medical misconduct

Dr Charlie Teo has spoken out against allegations of medical misconduct in an interview for Channel 7’s Spotlight program.

Mr Teo has said he will be leaving the country to continue his profession after a professional standards committee found his operations had ‘disastrous’ outcomes and placed restrictions on his registration.

The committee had found Mr Teo had failed to outline the real risks of his surgeries, which were described as ‘experimental’ and was found to have behaved unethically in not obtaining informed consent from his patients before surgery.

Mr Teo will move to China to continue practising, as well as other areas of Southeast Asia.

Does Australian healthcare do bullying - well look at what happened during C-OVID, hundreds of Doctors were bullied and had their licences suspended only to find out they were right.
Sadly they have lost a great neurosurgeon who has done wonders for Australians even tackling the jobs other surgeons are too scared to attempt.
Sure there are mistakes, but he is in a highly dangerous field of medicine, someone had to try.
Not even P-fizer has been treated this way for thousands of deaths and adverse events.

This will bring shame on the medical system in Australia and chase away many surgeons who would be needed here.

Whatever you think of Teo he has been willing to push the boundaries of brain surgery and give people hope. False hope? That’s not for the medical establishment to decide. Maybe he does have a god complex, but so do many surgeons.

What’s the consultation circulating from Herald sun where patient has to listen to what Dr Teo abruptly stated. This has now got me thinking differently? But I’m not sure I’d it’s set up? Also why have so many news reports turned off commenting?

People are paying a fortune for neurosurgery. These types of surgeries are known to have poor outcomes. To everyone that goes on for surgery, read the information before surgery. Knows the failure rate, success rate, and expected outcomes. These surgeons will chop you up, and jump into their Mercedes AMG and go home. You will sit in a hospital bed hoping to move your toes without extreme pain. If he has higher rates, compared to other neurosurgeons of failure to improve symptoms that's bad. It is our bodies, read and learn because this is surgery and your life & happiness depends on it.

All this because he didn't tell patients the real risks? Most of his patients came to him as their last resort to live because other medical practitioners gave them no hope. I'd understand cancelling his licence if all his patients went nite nite but only a small % did. And all of them were on the trial by media show 60 wasted minutes.
