I recommend having any bicycle sent directlty to a bicycle shop for assembly. Putting my Priority bicycle together myself was simple, but there was an issue with the rear disc brake right out of the box - it squealed horribly when touching the break. This is a problem the bicycle shop could have resolved easily but at home I wasn't knowledgable enough to fix the problem. Also, logically, if you are going to take it to a bicycle mechanic for a safety check-up after putting it together yourself, then have it sent directly to the bike shop in the first place and save yourself a trip. The only reason to ship to your home for self-assembly is if you don't intend on taking it to a bicycle shop for a safety check. It costs more to have it sent to a bicycle shop, but if you take it to a bicycle shop after assembling it yourself, you'll be paying for the safety check and won't be saving any money or time. Depending on where you are, you're looking at ~$100 to have it safety-checked by a mechanic. For me personally, the home delivery fee was $30 while the bike shop assembly option was $130. I took home delivery, then took it to a bike shop and was charged $100 for the safety check, and so I $130 anyway! Seriously, just have your bicycle sent to a bicycle shop for assembly.

This video is missing something INCREDIBLY CRUCIAL. You need to adjust the indexing of your shifter on assembly, at 1mo, and at 3mo. Cables stretch and mine came miscalibrated / decalibrated during shipping. You do this by shifting into your highest gear, then on the shifter only shift down to 4. Looking at the point the cable connects to the hub you should see two yellow squares. If they line up you're good. If they don't, on the shifter there's a barrel adjuster you pull outward and turn to adjust. Repeat this process until it lines up. Miscalibrated shifting can lead to damage to the hub internals.

Can you install a CDX Chainring on this bike while keeping the original crankset?
