Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand! This means that there's lots to explore, but also presents a bit of a headache because choosing the right area to stay will massively determine what kind of experience you have on the island.

In this Thailand Travel guide I'm going to break down the top areas to stay on the island and show you where is best for nightlife, street food, deserted beaches, luxury resorts, and muay thai. Ill also show you the popular areas that most tourists stay in that you should avoid.

I love Karon and always go there. Plenty do do if you get to know the place. Stayed at most of the places he mentions and I always go back to Karon. I have been to Phuket more times than I can count.
