For everyone saying "it's the store owner" while that's certainly possible I wouldn't be so sure. The device was very specialized and custom making me think it's probably a professional data skimmer who does this for a living or possibly even a repair person that services those atms. Most store owners don't own or service those ATMs they usually just get a lil monthly kickback for allowing whatever company to place it in their store and the added benefit of having an ATM available to their customers. Otherwise they usually have nothing to do with them.

These damn things got me scared! I always check the card reader before using the ATM. You have to be safe as possible! Always always check it EVERY SINGLE TIME!

I live here and i'm about 3 blocks away from this 7/11, it's funny to think people would do that and this is a well populated 7/11 right on the highway.

You could probably determine the approximate time period that it was installed by measuring the battery voltage, device power consumption, and battery capacity. Check the cameras around that time. It won't be perfect but it can at least eliminate the timeframes that it most likely wasn't installed during.
