Watch this video to understand the steps of mixing together your Rockford Chimney Supply insulation mix. You will need a mixing mortar pan and mixing mortar hoe. Add the dry insulation mix to the pan and add approximately 4 to 7 gallons of water per bag. Mix together. When you squeeze the mix between your hands, water should not leak through your fingers. If the mixture is too watery, add more insulation mix.

When the insulation mix is at the correct consistency, you can begin pouring it around your Rock-Flex or rigid stainless steel chimney liner kit. Be sure to leave approximately 6" of space between the top of the insulation mix and the top of the flue tile to accommodate for possible expansion.

is that stuff going all the way down to the woodstove? how is it blocked off above woodstove so it doesnt fall on the wood stove?
