This might sound insane, but I sometimes genuinely think trance is the modern version of classical music. I've studied music, so no, I'm not saying trance is "just as complex" or whatever as classical. I'm just saying the parallels are interesting.

Both were primarily championed by European artists, both followed rather standardized structures and aesthetics, and both had a guy playing no "real instrument." A DJ is really just a modern day conductor. Saying this as a classically trained musician who can DJ like this. A coductor basically just keeps the orchestra in time and gives cues. A DJ basically just keeps 2 tracks in time and gives the dancefloor cues.

If you change the settings on it, the visuals get WAY crazier because it'll use more of the presets. I've been using that program for decades now and I LOVE it so much.
