We start by focusing on Magnus's world-class pressing ability, a skill so remarkable that he's even outperformed top climbers like Adam Ondra and Will Bosi in this area. We'll guide you through the steps to develop this strength, including specific exercises and practice moves to incorporate into your training.

Additionally, we delve into other signature techniques that set Magnus apart, such as Leg Clamping, Core Strength, and the Pogo move. Mastering these techniques is essential if you want to climb with the same level of skill and finesse as Magnus Midtbø.

You neglected to mention that Magnus removes his shirt for more power.

It would be interesting to see some more specific climbers, as learning the intricacies of that can give insight into how to get better in niche habilities. Like how Ai Mori climbs as a short climber, how Janja has a very quikc and interesting solutions to problems, always focusing on what she does best or how a crack climber like Pete Whitaker approaches problems due to his way of finding jams and specific patterns that non-crack climbers rarely see

I like the format because it helps educate people like me about different climbing styles, and that can help us to better understand our own strengths and weaknesses. This in turn, I believe, can allow us to train and practice in ways more optimal for our progressions.

Doing tricep kickbacks as shown in 1:54 will not adequately train your triceps. If you want to effectively train your triceps, tricep pushdown, skullcrushers, or close-grip bench will do a wonderful job.

Really appreciate this format! Pinpoints several techniques and provides information on how to train for them both on and off the wall. Top quality stuff!

Very interested to hear about Stefano. I find it much harder to pinpoint specific things about his style than I do with many other climbers.

Alternatively, learning just what makes Toby Roberts so good would be fun (and timely if you get it filmed quickly enough).

I like this format and am letting you know that you should do another one :).

Vote for Anna, or Alex Megos maybe.

Such a good example about how strength and technique are not opposites, rather they are complimentary. Having enough strength opens up new movements to you, and thus new solutions to problems. Very similar to how finger strength lets you use holds in new ways.

Also this series is awesome. Please do more! Sorato Anraku!

I really appreciate the well-thought-out structure of this video. You explain everything very clearly and quickly, which makes these videos feel like an efficient work-of-art. Keep it up!

I'm gonna say I find this format quite interesting. I don't believe i'm "gonna climb like Magnus" after watching it, but I believe the analysis is of value

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the bodyweight overhead press 1rm is terrific climbing side quest. It ticks so many of the boxes mentioned in this video, it pairs well with climbing and it’s really really cool.

What an extraordinary format! The combination of analysis and training suggestions is so good and unique.

I'd love to see the best in their speciality: Anna Hazelnut for slabs, Tomoa Narasaki for Parcours Style, Aidan Roberts for his control style, Adam Ondra for using his legs, Janja Garnbret as maybe the most complete athlete, Will Bosi cause he is such a nice person and so strong, Pete for sure, the crack king, there are so many people one can learn from, I feel there's potential for 100+ videos like this ❤.

Love this new series - short and punchy and the analysis of top climbers is really fascinating

Love this concept! Would love to see the analysis of how to climb like the Olympic participants as well! There'd be unlimited content haha

Toby, Sora, Jakob, Adam, Alberto, Colin, Hamish, Tomoa. The females would also be so interesting as their styles are so different and some are quite short + have different body types. The queen Janja, Brooke, Jessica, Ai, Erin, Oceania, Oriane, Chaehyun, Miho. You could even analyze their bouldering vs lead.

Great video! Previous gym rat turned into a climber three years ago here. The one thing my gym rat days helped me with for bouldering has been pressing. I noticed that many climbers who have been climbing for years lack pressing and shoulder strength/stability.

Aidan Roberts would be another good one. He's become the king of static through recent projects
