In the 4+ decades I've been getting tattooed I've never paid for a consult; that was her first red flag; not to mention all the thousands she was charged after and still didn't get the tat she asked for. Every tat I've gotten I was never charged for the sketch! This is ROBBERY plain & simple, IMO! Thanks Mike👍

In this case however, the Tattoo artist due to other people doing deep dives, people have found that she has been inverting other people's images and calling them original tattoos. So she's tracing, and lying to people.

My artist charges a "design fee" usually only a couple hundred dollars though, buts it's more or less just a deposit because she takes it off the price of the tattoo

Be careful on IG too. My friend paid a deposit and showed up on the day of the appointment just to find out from the shop that this particular person has been scamming people for 2 years. They say they’re apart of a shop and have you pay them the deposit and then you don’t hear from them again. It’s sad.

Tracing is still a problem that's happening in the art community, not just amongst the tattoo community, the people who commissioned the art instead got a traced version of an art that already existed from another artist only and charge them a hefty price. Imma just say, before even doing something like this, do extensive research on the tattoo artist's background before making that purchase because damn, that's $1000+ down the drain for her and that's alot of money

if you have to pay $6, 000 just for a design, just fly here in the philippines, you can get your sleeve done for $200 and trust me it's already top tier quality

Heard the artist has the audacity to threaten this client with defamation. Despite her never mentioning her name and showing the email correspondence as hard proof. 😠

After learning more of the facts this tattoo artist has pulled this with multiple people. Its actually ridiculous and horrible i was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt maybe this was a new thing she was trying. But nope shes done it to multiple people and refuses to work with them on a resolution what so ever. The artists work also looks like junior level artist skill. The tattoos are average at best

At that point you should just walk away and find a different tattoo artist. This is ridiculous and definitely a scam. I even think the tattoo artist may have messed up the design on purpose in hopes she would pay even more to get it fixed again, just plain greed and dishonesty. Of course you have to pay for tattoos, but I think a good tattoo artist would be a bit more cooperative, reasonable and flexible in the designing phase

I paid for my consultation ($200) but it was in person and would be part of my final session for my tattoo, it was to cover his time designing my tattoo if I bailed and to measure my chest to make sure when I showed up the stencil would fit. This woman should of ran away so many red flags to start with. Such a weird scam.

The design tiers seem like something that could work for very large pieces, like a complete back piece. But for a half sleeve it seems absolutely outrageous to charge that amount and show up with a rough sketch with little to no detail or concept. By all means, charge what you think you’re time and work are worth. But when this is the work you are showing up with.. Not to mention it’s not even her work. Now all the respectable artists have to come to the entire tattoo community’s defense because of artists like this who will never apologize to the clients and other artists she has completely ripped off.

What a load of crap, the one I go to only asks for a down payment of about £20 to secure appointment and will design it for free and charge appropriately for said design and time it took for artist to design tattoo in there off days don't think there should be a tier payment system
