I remember when i contacted my first paragliding instructor, i asked exactly for this question: i have vertigo, can i paraglide? He said "vertigo is a static sensation, it is not possible to have it during flight because you move in the air!" 😊

I once flew over a high rope course in a forest, looked down and thought to myself "are they mad? This is way too high? I'd never do that." Then I caught a thermal and went on.

Terrible vertigo and fear of height sufferer here - been flying for 9 years, and the vertigo disappears as soon as you're airborne indeed :)

My open harness makes me sick after 45 min, feet unsupported loads of tension in my core. But, my pod makes me a superhero! Totally relaxed in the air.
Turn out the nerves in my feet need to be pressing on something for my brain to be ok.
I never did try foot straps on the open harness. I bet it would work.
