The smile on Genes face when he talked about making his mom proud was priceless. He is so lucky to have that. The woman who birthed me wants nothing to do with me. Yesterday I turned 60 and not a note or phone call. I dedicated my life to her and she threw me away. I'm so jealous of what Gene has but also happy that I have that with my own children and grandchildren.

"I was made for loving you" is my husband's and mine song. We saw KISS in concert the second last time they were in Australia and my husband took our 14 year old son to see them when they were here last year as his first rock concert. He knew all the songs AND the words thanks to his father constantly playing their vinyl records.

Women who married rock stars back in the day knew what they were getting into. Groupies and touring were and still are part of the lifestyle. The women who stuck around really needed to make their peace with it to work. It’s an arrangement, I bet they’d be compensated with gifts and attention when their men come home.
