Need more drama for your dance skirt? Give these flounce ruffles with fishing line hem a try! I call them Perky Ruffles, because they are perkier and more energetic-looking than regular ruffles. They have more body because of the fishing line, and they add volume to your skirt (or whatever you add the ruffles to) instantly! :D

Put fish line in boiling water wrapped on 1 inch pvc pipe. Let cool in water that you boiled. It keeps it's shape longer.

Absolutely stunning and just what I needed to add that finishing touch to my ballroom skirt. Just going to add the one ruffle and gather on the left side. I was wondering how to incorporate two more patterned materials without having to do the traditional gathered hems.
