Going broke! - How much did we lose selling our 2024 Ford Mustang GT Performance

There is no doubt the S650 Ford Mustang is the king of power to cost. The GT Performance we purchased in August of 2023 came with 486 horse power and sounded perfect from the factory.
The major issue is how much depreciation the sports car has in less than 1 year.
Join in as we discuss selling the long term review car and how it effects the channel.
Special thank you to @lowes for sending the Greenworks Pro Electric Pressure Washer to help keep the cars and trucks clean.

I hear you! I've got a Dark Horse being built so am selling my 2021 Supercharged GT Premium with 24k km on it. The stealership offered 40k CAD and even then it was a lot of tire kicking and the DH deal on the line before they would come up to that number. I may just pay out the note on the car myself and sell it privately as people are biting at 55k CAD for everyhing done to the car. It has 100k into it (car, taxes, aftermarket parts and labour) so this is a HUGE loss. Modders be warned!

They do sound absolutely nasty from the factory. Awesome video.

Have you had any issues with GT? I’ve heard it got engine misfire, car won’t start etc.

6 months and gone??? I keep my cars at least 6 years! I've had my Expedition over 12 and no plans to get rid of it. I guess some of us just love our cars more deeply!

Sad to see it go! But luckily you have a killer Raptor and Bronco still in the driveway.

Don’t feel too bad. I have a 2024 Performance pack, loaded to the gills convertible, $68, 460.00 MSRP car. 552 miles, wholesale is $49, 500.00

Mine is a premium vapor blue with PP, 401A, nite pony, active exhaust, magna ride, all weather mats and it’s fully ceramic coated with PPF so I’m sure they would try to give me 42k for mine and sell for more that that. You should private sell it at least for 48k

No rebates when bought new. And still in the midst of product shortages. And now they are churning them out as fast as possible now, high interest rates, the auto market is balancing itself out. And used prices are falling quicker than usual, due to lack of buyers willing to take a chance and making high dollar purchases.

GoodBye old Friend - We all know this is a GREAT Car - but economics be what they are - Money is Real.

Used be 5k after the car left the lot. Now it’s 10k and people wonder why new car sales are falling. Catch a repo or trade in for thousands off.

Every car & truck bought from the dealership are $15-20k over priced..That's why driving off the lot puts you upside down immediately..A friend of mine bought a 2023 corvette HTC @MSRP...$103k...He had a opportunity to pu a corvette Z06 and the trade was $73K with only 1400 miles...Thats a $30k hit ..They're all a racket and a losing one for the public...

This year is probably one of the worst years to sell a car. But sometimes, you just have to cut your losses immediately because it can always get worse.

You sold the V8 and kept the limp-wristed ecoboost?

I’m not sure if you made a video sooner when you first placed the car on the market for sale but had I heard about it. I would’ve gone to the bank for a car loan and paid you 45k

Why not try to sell to individual, as you would get more? Just too much hassle?
I do trade in to avoid that hassle, but with a trade I get a tax break which helps covers a lot of the gap.
Not sure which route I would if just selling. Carvana would be at the top of my list to try.

BTW - love that t-shirt
