Crunch mode CH1 on the Soldano is underrated! It's like a cross between a Marshall and a Matchless. I LOVE IT!

When he mentioned in an interview that there’s a “little more compression” on the 30 I got bummed out. I owned an avenger and liked it but it was compressing the power section too much for my tastes even at medium and low volumes. I really don’t need 100 watts but the headroom is attractive. I want the front end to compress not the back

I think probably most of the people complaining about the price have never even heard of Soldano, let alone actually played an SLO. Street price is actually lower than the original before they stopped making them, and that's without all the new features included now.

I wouldn't spend that on an amp full stop, they sound good but not 4.5 times better than the average retail amp

May as well buy a high gain amp from Mesa, EVH, Marshall...same tones are achievable at 1/2-2/3 the cost. WAY OVER VALUED.

Just sold my Hot Rod 50 and got a fantastic deal on a used SLO-30. Didn’t think I’d ever sell the hot rod but it was well worth it.

Was pissed that I didn't grab one before the price shot up drastically when Mike announced his retirement (well, have an Avenger 100, but not a SLO), but now I am OK with that.

Strange how people in the comments below are bitching about the prices. It's Soldano. A legend. What the heck did you expect? Take a look at some vintage examples and see what they cost today. Even at these prices, the amps are a steal, they'll hold their value or probably fetch more in the future. Great video Phil!

The prices are in line with all the other top tier boutique amps. Bogner, Friedman, Diamond, etc. cost just about the same.
If you can't manage the price, maybe you're in the wrong store.
