It's nice to find someone else who is still excited about the A7s! I picked one up for $1240 and 317 shutter actuations (and a nice cage!) about a month ago - it seemed like a good price. I could not justify the price of the A7sii. My primary use will be low light and astrophotography. Your duckling video is beautiful, and inspiring. Maybe I'll try my hand at video! Hope you enjoy the camera, it's been serving me strong for a few years now
It has some bugs though, I have a video talking about a noise bug you might want to know about which can effect grain, as well as some tips about the Shogun and hdmi output

I tend to buy camera's just after they come out with a new model so I get the best bang for the buck. Yes I have a A7s use mostly for stills and all I use are manual focus lenses older M Leica lenses that I have had since the 70's The glass is still great and I can still focus. I bought them all used way back then so they were really cheap.

Nice - but I'd still have gone with the C100 - I still think the colour is better from a Canon and I shoot Nikon :-)

Looks really good! I think the the A7s is the best camera since the 5Dii for low budget indi stuff. Better cameras have come, but if you have the skills, time or passion the A7s is still perfect

Why didnt u buy A7Sii? Cause i am debating whether to get 7S or 7Sii. The S is definitely cheaper
