What do you recommend to clean to inner side of both the transmission and clutch housing. Ive read breake cleaner, and i also read that aluminium is sensitive.
I am rebuilding my S40 transmission next week.

My 99 civic has a serious transmission fluid leak in between the engine and transmission. Where would it be coming from?

when replacing final drive in a honda transmission (pinion and crown wheel) is it neccessary to replace all the bearings? left my box for a Final Drive change and they said it's mandatory, because during disassembly bearings are under stress and may be damaged. is this true or am I being scamed?
