Had this exact one back when I was a kid. I saved up my summer time work money for it! I think i payed around 650 bucks new for it. Me and all my friends had these. One friend had a 85 and the rest of us had 86s . I had 6800 miles on mine and traded it for a aero 50 .

This little bike reminds me of my first bike. I had a 2000 Honda Elite 80. It was a 4 stroke though. When I bought it, it had 17 or so miles on it. The only reason I bought it was because for one, I thought it was pretty cool looking and thought it looked like something out of a Sci-Fi movie and 2, I needed a mode of transportation. I put over 10K miles on it until one day I killed it. Forgot to put the washer back on the oil screw and it lost all the oil and the engine seized up. Ended up selling it for $150.00

Your Honda reminds me of my very first mode of transportation my dad bought me when I was a teenager a brand new 1981 Honda Express and gave it to me as a surprise and I was surprised LOL me and my friend took that thing everywhere even though it was made for one passenger we could have pillow on the back and he would ride with me and we were both pretty heavy guys in that thing took us everywhere

To think i almost was down to choosing between one of these (an 86) or a Kymco 50cc. that had no title. Back at home after the Kymco misadventure i was pretty discouraged. Until that is, i happened across an 80 Yamaha XS1100. He wanted $750. I messaged im via FB Marketplace where i saw his ad. Within 2 hours he asked me to come check it out and that my $500 would be accepted as the new improved price. Actually, $480 was the final price as he handed me back $20 with apologies for the low state of the oil and gas. Couldn't have asked for a better deal. Bike is a bit weatherbeaten. Far from a garage queen but it runs great with no glaring faults. Not even those that typically plague this model.

I have one of those chinese 49cc TaoTao 4 stroke scooters, and I love cruising around on the thing. Brand new they're under $600, and I can do 40mph on flat roads and keep up with traffic around town. The 100mpg doesn't hurt either!! Or the fact I don't need a motorcycle license to ride it.

Nice I wish mine had a kick start. I also got mine from a swap meet. Traded an old ford break- out box for it and stuffed it in the trunk of my dads 58 impala. It is a good bike. The belt gets oily from the drippy carb so iv got to clean it sometimes. I wish they made the cover more easily removable to access the carb. Also I think you can change the rear end gears to get more top speed. From a pw50 I think not sure

Have you thought about LED lights for this Honda? It'd save on power.

The Spree were not known for speed but then how fast would you really want to go on those tiny tires! What's the story on Kawasaki? It looks like an LTD 1000, about a 1980 or so.

Because of your previous Spree video, I went and bought one this past September. The one I bought had idling issue from the beginning but I could at least ride it. After a couple hundred miles, it roasted off 2 belts and then the piston seized because the oil injector was clogged. I got rid of it and bought a brand new Honda Metropolitan, which is basically like a modern Spree.
