I watched tornado coverage from North Carolina yesterday. I was shocked at how different it was. And kind of terrible. They had a supercell that was in-between Wilson to the north and Goldsboro to the south. This channel had cameras in both towns. They showed the camera in Wilson. It shows nothing but darkness in the distance because it's on the north side looking south into the rain shield. They switched to the camera in Goldsboro. It showed the rain-free base and much better cloud structure because it was looking north into the southern end of the storm where the updraft is located. I was like, "Yeah keep that view and double box it like James Spann does because that's our best bet of seeing something. Even though it's a little ways away." It almost looked like you could even see what could have been a wall cloud though. However to my surprise they switched back to the Wilson camera that had nothing to look at. I was like, "What are you doing!?" Then they just shut it off and went back to radar. I was like, "Terrible. Freaking terrible." They just don't get it elsewhere James. They just don't.
