I bought my fold 4 when it came out and it still works as the day i picked it up, given i had to change protective plastic layer on the inside screen but still no complaint

I currently have a vivo x fold as well as a fold 5 upgrading to 6. I like the hardware of the vivo but the Samsung one iu is great for me. I'll keep both until other options come out. Eitherway I enjoy foldables so much I hope more competition comes out to make the form factor thrive. Good day to all

I'm upgrading from Fold4 just because hoping they fixed the famous hinge/brush problems which leads to not fully close and inner screen blackout damage. I could stick to Fold4 if my fold4 did not have this problem twice. 4 other people i know also lived the same problem with their fold4's including my wife and brother. I just hope they fixed this issue with Fold6 and i hope to use Fold6 for at least 3 years if i don't experience any issues. I considered moving to S24 Ultra but after checking it in my hand i recognised i will miss Fold device badly so i decided to roll the dice for Fold6 at last.

Z fold definitely needs the ultra cameras. The current cameras arent the worse but the low light is terrible. Z fold definitely should be samsungs main focus

Had the fold 4. Got tired of the crease and the black bars (also worried about how long it would hold up). I was not impressed with fold 5 (or even the 6). Glad I went with the s24 ultra (and they gave me a crazy good trade in deal on an older phone).

Thanks for the honest review, seriously thinking about cancelling my pre order as the Pixel fold 2 is out soon and the Chinese competitors have wider front screens and are just more usable.

The main thing outside of the narrow front screen that is a turn off is the main camera not being on par with the ultra. I like a big screen but a good camera is essential, and the photos I've seen from the fold are all washed out with no detail.

Really disappointing to see this given the competition, Samsung are relying too hard on the AI party tricks and have given up on the fundamentals.

I don't understand how these reviewers simply believe that if they bring the Ultra's cameras to the fold phones that price is magically gonna stay the same. They already complained the price is to high. That is the reason they don't bring the Ultra's cameras to the fold. It not hard to figure that out. If the price wasn't gonna be a concern, they would have done it two iterations ago. 🤦🏾

Why would you consider the Z Fold to be “the king” over the OnePlus Open? I’m not necessarily disagreeing, just curious.

the issue is that normal smartphones took 10+ years to reach its evolutionary dead end.. whereas fold-ables, started with more advanced technology and thus reached its evolutionary dead-end much earlier
