My channel is dedicated to the Challenger / Charger R/T (RT) 5.7 liter HEMI, though we touch on the 6.4 (392, Scat Pack, and Daytona) and Hellcat (both base and Redeye trims), continually adding modifications to get the most out of it. I currently own a cammed Challenger RT 5.7 Hemi. I try to bring content that is not only informative but hopefully entertaining. I do not want others making the same mistakes I did and hopefully save you some money in the end. I am dedicated to taking my 5.7 liter Hemi in its stock form as fast as it will possibly allow me. My current list of modifications is extensive but there is plenty more to come. If you are modifying your 5.7 Hemi, this is the channel to watch. I provide unbiased, I have no ties to any business or sponsors, opinion on options that I have purchased or have done extensive research on. Sit back, relax and enjoy the video.

One thing I didn't discuss is actually purchasing the tuning hardware (normally Diablo or HP Tuners) and the cost of a custom tune. Either route and a custom tune, on average, is about another $1000+ depending on the tuner's cost.

Everyone forgets about fueling hahaha! Great video man, gives many people breaking into forced air realistic expectations.

Edelbrock kit is the best on the 5.7L. Full fuel kit, plugs, integrated intercooler Low boost, great, warranty, can make 500whp without even big supporting mods.

Supercharging ain’t cheap, but I will admit that it’s way easier than doing an n/a build, and gains are better too

E85 is a no go for me here in Vermont, but my local Performance Shop gave me a quote when I had my 5.7 Shaker of 10 grand total for everything, tax, labor, 93 Octane Tune, Fuel Pump, injectors, Pro Charger, etc. I would imagine my Scat Pack would be about the same, 215 HP gain on my 392.

Don, nice breakdown of the primary cost to ProCharge a 5, 7 or 6.4, i think the cost for a unlocked PCM should be factored in also, being that a tune is an absolute requirement. If you are pre 2015 you save some money towards another upgrade.

Thank god you have some rock music in your intro.

I have a 6.4 and I’m swinging towards getting forged internals before adding any kind of power adders. Although, I have heard from a couple people that running 6 psi or less could be okay.

Don't go with the complete kit from Procharger. The tune is very conservative with that kit. Go with the tuner kit and purchase the tune from someone else. E-mail tunes from someone like Jay Greene or Dyno tunes are improvements over the tune from Procharger. E-mail tunes require you to datalog and are less expensive than a Dyno tune. I am not a Mopar guy so I don't know how much tunes from Jay Greene cost. I paid $600 for my Mustang. When you order your Procharger, get it with the helical cut gears. They are quieter than the straight cut gears and you don't get the tumbling rocks sound at idle. Add $250 to get the PCM unlocked or buy one that is unlocked.

Coming from Procharger: you would only need the procharger, and the diablo tune with a PCM. This is for a stock Dodge Charger 2022 5.7 R/T

If I'm doing a procharger on my 5.7 with a 6.4 intake like yours. Should I order the kit for the 6.4 or 5.7?

Hey Buddy,
What I am Looking for is some Truthful advice.. for my 2015 RT Plus Shaker 5.7 Challenger with MANUAL. My car is Less than Impressive as far as Performance goes. I am By NO means a Go to the track Guy, But.. I do want there to be Jump in my Frog when I want it..
I have a New Diablo i3 Platinum Tuner ( Haven't used it yet ) I have already Installed a set of Kook's Exhaust System. (Long Tube headers and Hi Flow Cats, with Straight pipe and Flowmaster 10's.)
I changed out my stock Wheels and tires, to 9.5" with 275's on the front, and 11.5" with 315's on the rear. I have a catch can In place, and a Mitsimoto 180 degree Thermostat, and I have installed a Cervini's Shaker Hood and Intake system. (
(Mind you.. I have No tune on it yet ))
What would benefit my car the most Before I finally do take it in for a Pro tune.
((I have a 10k Budget to work with "ALL IN"..)) Should I, ...Cam and and Intake ? or Pro Charger ? or Turbo ?
I want something "with cost in mind", that will yield the best results..
"Like I said, Im not looking to compete, I just want to put a grin on, when I stomp on the Gas.."
I've had VERY..conflicting advice from friends..I know YOU have been there and Done it all on your journey.. " WHAT DO YOU THINK ? " Thank you in advance !

@ModernRedHemi Throwing another question your way when you were first procharged with the 6.4 intake on your 5.7 when did you set your short runner valve to open 4800 like stock or did you play with it?
