Bought my iPhone 8 in 2018, it was my first iPhone. Still kicking. Apart from its battery at 73% and very limited space (using 58 of its 64GB) I love it. I've been thinking of upgrading for a while now, but every time I look at the price tags I look back at my good old buddy and give it a smile.

I just got the iPhone 8 256gb no scratches on front or back no cracks and it’s unlocked with a new battery with 100% health. and it’s working great so far.

Still on my 8 Plus since launch! I can’t use OLED and it still does all I need, and I still love the big 16:9 screen 1080p with nothing encroaching into it.

Almost 2025 and my iPhone 8 coming up to 8 years old and still going strong. Haven’t used a screen protector ever on it and dropped it multiple times on all sorts of different surfaces also and perfectly intact screen. It still looks brand new! Re the camera, I’ve taken some really lovely scenery shots and for an amateur like me who only takes the occasional selfie or holiday shot here and there it’s honestly enough. I never look back on them and rue missing details or anything. Software updates other than security are no obsolete but I’ll keep it until it dies on me because I don’t see myself as an ‘advanced’ phone user and this is perfect for me still. Bought it for £600 sim free and I’m well on my way to get my moneys worth out of it!

I bought my iPhone 8 in 2022 then my mom got herself a iPhone 14 then she let me use her old Xs but battery was in bad condition then I switched to my father old Samsung and then return back to my iPhone 8 and it still works fine.

I still use my iPhone 8 among many other phones, put in a battery case and I don’t see any reason why not to still use it in 2024. I don’t play games on my phone, so no loss there!

I picked up an iPhone 13 pro max when they came out and still use my old iPhone 8 as a VOIP office phone. I do miss having the home button.

I get around 4-6 hours of normal use daily out of my iPhone 8 @ 93% battery health with an about year old cell in it, if you're not a power user its honestly still a pleasant experience. If you have one, ride it out, if you're thinking of buying one as a primary device, just go for at least an iPhone 12 instead.

I'm using my iPhone 8 Plus at the moment. Bought it in 2020 right around the time Apple stopped selling them. It still works fine, and I don't really use anything outside of some basic games, web browsing and social media. Only reasons I'm looking at getting a new phone are the lack of software updates and the size. After nearly 5 years of using big phones, I'm starting to really notice how much I prefer small ones LOL. Looking at getting either a refurbished 13 mini or SE3 since I really don't need anything super fancy. I wouldn't recommend buying an 8 series phone, but if you're still using one, I reckon it could probably keep going for another year or 2 before losing app compatibility

My iPhone 8 got refurbished for free recently
(got a battery replacement, removed broken glass protector, basically looks like it's brand new) so i decided to hop back at it and most likely i will stay on that phone for a very long time now.

I don't need those new iPhone features anyway becuase i mainly use my Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 tablet and this iPhone 8 is the only one phone i ever had with iOS so im fully fine with it

i've had an iphone 8 with NO screen protector since 2018-2019. and it hasn't cracked since. also, it is a good reminder that if you had this 10 years ago, it would be the most high-tech thing in the world. we must be content because it's already enough
