omg you’re like the first person i’ve seen use that lovestruck security door correctly! that’s exactly how they’re used, as a little “gated” initial entry area, at least in the countries they originate from.

I’m awaiting the day that you tackle Hawaii. The only thing I will say is that when you do please do more traditional homes that you would see people live in (plantation homes) and not all the modern and expensive homes that have been brought over. Also it’s been a long time since you did any builds in Sulani so I think it would be a nice change. I haven’t seen many simmers build homes in Sulani that are actually based off old Hawaiian homes so I think it could be an interesting one to tackle.

Having the matching chairs in the living room/dining room/bedroom, definitely makes me think of 'we got new dining room furniture, but the old chairs are still good, so let's strategically scatter them throughout the house, cause you never know when you need an extra chair'. I can't be the only one whose parents did that all the time, right?

As a Californian, I love this so much! I feel like I’ve seen this house a hundred times in real life, and I’m impressed that I didn’t know all of the fun facts you shared! Thank you so much for the lovely representation ❤

I’ve lived in San Diego my whole life (which isn’t that long considering I’m 22). I realized this house looked like it belonged here even before San Diego was mentioned 😂.

I would love to see Illinois! I would look into neighborhoods in Chicago like Lake View, Rosco Village, and Irving Park, all have such interesting homes and I think it would be cool to do a couple homes all on the same lot because the city is pretty densely populated.

California is so large and different from the north to the south, I think it warrants a second build for NorCal 😂

love this build! i'm from california and it felt VERY familiar! i was sad not to see the debug orange flowers from growing together, since i believe they're meant to be california poppys, which is our state flower. but the landscaping was still gorgeous!

idk if youll see this comment in time, but i recommend the san diego safari park over the zoo. both are really nice, but i think the safari park is more fun. hope you enjoy your trip!

For your next state, I suggest Michigan. As a Michigander, I can attest to the fall being one of the most beautiful times of year here. The fall leaves are a tourist attraction as well as for those that live in the southern part of the state. It's an awesome place to live aside from the roads. ;)

FYI! "San" as in San Sequoia of San Diego/San Francisco IRL actually is actually Spanish for "Saint". Our lots of our cities in CA were initially started by Spanish mission/colonizers.

If you ever get around to Virginia, would love to see you tackle a ‘Mcmansion’ they are prolific in northern va and have earned quite the reputation for being monstrosities of bad taste lol

As one who was born and raised in CA and currently lives about 3 hours away from San Diego, this house was so accurate! Especially that oak and white counters lol. That was especially popular during the 90s and early 2000s 😂

I believe that San Sequoia actually means Saint Sequoia. Whereas Sin Sequoia would mean without.

Bay Area native here - this is so familiar and fun!!! Here's my play-by-play commentary lol. We have so many diverse styles, but the mission stucco style is super common in the Bay Area and SoCal :D Spanish colonial influence is very common here. A lot of our city names are Spanish (Los Angeles meaning The Angels and San Francisco meaning Saint Francis) Sacramento being the capital still catches even me, a lifelong resident off guard because...nothing happens in Sacramento lol X) Yes, the yellowy oak cabinets are very common here. Our counters are that same oak color. It is quite common to have an entrance to the side. Some larger houses will have an entrance in the front that's more of a fancy "guest entrance" into a foyer, as well as a side entrance into a living room, laundry or kitchen that's the more frequently used entrance. Carpeting is common here! My parent's and sister's bedrooms are carpeted. It is warm here, but not so warm that you see completely tiled houses like in Mexico. Most houses have wooden or carpeted flooring. Some mission style houses do have more tiling, though. "San" actually means "Saint, " not "without" - San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, etc are named after saints! The Windows wallpaper is titled "Bliss." Unfortunately that hill isn't so green and lush anymore.

I just moved to Sweden from San Diego, California and I miss my house so much!! This looks like a mini version of my house in the suburbs :] I wish I could've gone to TwitchCon as I always do but I have uni and can't just go back home whenever haha. Thanks for uploading and thank you for doing a focus on my city :)

Would love to see Montana next. I swear it is one of the prettiest states to see in Autumn! Specifically western part of Montana.

Finally we get around to my home state! I will be honest, I was hoping for something based on the Bay Area or Northern California since I feel like most people always think of California as being only the southern part. 😭
Still, super cute build! Looking forward to seeing what the next state will be! ❤️
