Lucky, our 47-year-old bottlenose dolphin was flown home to Brookfield Zoo to receive further testing and treatment after being diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, a common type of skin and oral cancer. Upon his return, Lucky underwent an examination and has been receiving treatment for his condition. So far, his lesions are improving, and animal care staff are cautiously optimistic about his outlook. He can be seen at Seven Seas along with the other dolphins!

What a very informative video. Wow, 47! I sometimes feel bad about captive animals. At the same time, I believe that those animals live good lives and provide us with essential information about caring for them. Living in the wild is no picnic. So with that being said, thank you, Brookfield Zoo, for all the good you perform.
