It's been three years since I lost my mom, and I listen to this song every once in a while when I just need to flush out the emotions attached to such a great loss. You could call it emotional cutting, but honestly it just feels so cathartic and healing and helps me go on with my day.

She had a smile on her face as she walked through the valley of death. My dad always love over the sunset. They are now rejoicing heaven with my oldest brother. I just realized it’s been almost 7 years since losing my grandma. Sure miss her but I know she’s here with me in spirit. I still keep going because I know she’d want me to be happy, but a LOT of days, it’s hard to put on a happy face knowing how depressed I get around certain holidays and life events. Then again, I have an awesome family (including our pet dog I consider family to us) to keep my spirits up - and it helps.
