this is kind of broken in the pc version because originally in order to do this you have to "reverse" your car but when the control was translated from the ps2 to pc, they re did the vehicle controls, since the controls are translated the "square" button are translated to "shift" key, and since they re did the vehicle control the car doesnt "reverse" when you do this trick on the pc ver.

This could be bannable in multiplayer. Just lock your vehicle doors if the server supports it.
