Loving the contradiction between Alexander *thinking* Phillip would enjoy the quiet and Eliza, who raised him and spent more time with him, *knowing* he would hate it. Really goes to show how self absorbed Hamilton was near the end, looking at Phillip and only seeing a reflection of himself.

This rendition of Eliza's POV for this song is just poetic. It goes to show just how contradictory the mother and father's understanding of their child. The father, Alex, thought their deceased son, Philip, would love the quiet uptown since he sees his son as a reflection of himself. But the mother, Eliza knew just how much their son hates the silence and it shows the bond between a mother and her child in how much she knows him best
