I worked for an Indian subsidiary company in Houston for several years. All of our management came from the Mumbai facility and lived in 2 or 3 houses all side-by-side, a couple of which brought their wives. They and their wives would make tons of great Indian food and bring it to work with them so I got to try a lot of different stuff which was great. It was definitely a unique experience, especially when they did their annual company feast where they brought in Hindu priests to bless the CNC machines and the facility. Plus, we got to introduce them to some amazing Texas barbecue (obviously not any beef lol)

Sonny, I am an Indian living in Sydney for over 17years, originally from Delhi. Great piece! Mate, you are a superstar when it comes to food content. Your Africa episodes, your US episodes, your SEA episodes- I love the passion and honesty you bring putting it all together. Kudos to you and your excellent team. Well done mate - onwards and upwards! True fan!

I almost had a heart attack seeing them put ice blocks on that filthy side walk, then realized it that they're not gonna eat it, just to cool the cylinder. I really like their creativity, lots of great food in India, wished it would be cleaner but I guess hygiene is directly proportional to your wallet, everywhere in the world.

India is magical and full of surprises. You never get what you expected to get or came for. You always get something different, but more interesting and magical. Sonny's food adventures remind me of this quote: "There are three trips you take to India: the one you think you’re going to have – that you plan for; the one you actually have; and the one you live through once you go back home.” – Erin Reese. Sonny was expecting a salad crepe, and he ended up getting a dosa cone dipped in a mesmerizing and mysterious mash. The same with that dessert. The result is always more than the sum of its parts.

The Paratha place that he went to is situated in paratha wali gali, Chandni chowk, Delhi. It's one of the worst Paratha places in Chandni chowk and it's very expensive. You can get so much better parathas at much lower prices in other places in Chandni chowk, and in Delhi in general.

8:18 We have to appreciate Sonny for dropping a quick gem on how you can be really successful without college and how you can be so intelligent and still struggle to pass! That dip with the dried cone looks delish. Delhi India is something different for sure lol Bless <3

the watermelon and the paratha are way too unique, everything else can be said to be a bit creative version of the orignal dish.

Swear to god India is the land of flavor. I live in North Texas and we have a very large Indian population and I always lived in apartments as a kid. I always loved eating dinner at my Indian friends houses. I’ve just always love the smell of any Indian food. Max flavor
