Michael Jackson's Tomb (1-24-15) **Video**

I was contracted to film a memorial service at the Great Mausoleum located at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA. The Great Mausoleum is where many legendary film stars have been laid to rest. I was able to grab a quick shot of Michael Jackson's tomb after completing my client's service. Michael is guarded from unwanted visitors, photographers, videographers, etc. .....basically, I had to do a "run and gun" shoot of this tomb. Michael's tomb is located behind the guard under the stain glass window.

Thank you for posting this. For the very many of us that will never be able to experience the honor of seeing it for ourselves, it's comforting to know and I think, brings a level of closure to countless people who loved Michael. He is greatly missed, even after these many years. I'm so very grateful to have been amongst those who lived during the height of the THRILLER ALBUM years. They were the best of times and Michael made it truly unforgettable. May he rest in eternal peace.

There are no markings of any kind on Michael's crypt, because of the fear of his grave being vandalized, by rabid fans, haters or opportunists. We are not allowed to walk through the mausoleum for the same reason, and at the behest of the families of other celebrities who are also interred there. Although I understand the reasoning for all of his, it still is heartbreaking to know that, as in life, Michael is forever sequestered from so many who loved him. I would deem it an honor to be able to leave a bouquet of red roses there at his tomb, silently and respectfully. With all my heart, I wish someone would restore Neverland, as a memorial park for our MJ. His fans could bring back the love he once felt there.
Still, the video of his resting place, is a comfort. Thank you, Mr. Kalt, for bringing this to us. May he rest peacefully, til the trumpet blows.

I knew Michael personally for years. Haven't been able to visit his grave, due to living 3, 000 miles away. But I know several people who were at the funeral and they witnessed Michael was entombed in the mausoleum at Holly Terrace. Plus now his father Joe is buried near his son in Forest Lawn. He wasn't cremated and scattered around Neverland. The vault he's buried in is filled in with concrete. So if anyone would be stupid and sick enough to try to steal Michael's body, they would have a helluva time trying to get to him. I really don't want to visit his grave. Because I prefer to remember him when he was living and we were talking to each other. Losing him has been very hard and painful for me. But wherever he is, I love that he is finally at peace with God and the Angels. He was too beautiful and good a man to be subjected to so much pain and torture at the end of his life. To the haters that post their garbage in here. May karma find you and you get what you deserve. Michael was a good person who did alot of good things for others. He wasn't perfect. What a beautiful film.  You can feel sacredness of the place where our beloved Michael rests.  There are millions of us the world over who would give heaven and earth to have Michael with us again but he is lost to us forever.  Forever....

Thank you for the tour. My father is buried just walking distance from Michael’s resting place. It is highly secured and no one could gain access. It’s not guarded now. I visit Michael’s tomb every time I visit my Dad’s grave and it’s so well secured AND monitored of course, they don’t even need a 24 hr guard. There are always a large amount of cards and flowers there, that time passing never seems to make them diminish. Thanks again. 🙏❤️💡

Thank you for posting this. After 13.5 YEARS of his passing and it still seems like a bad joke. I can’t wrap my head around the idea that MJ’s body is in there. It can’t be true 😢

I've been there a few times but I don't think I could walk up to his tomb....I believe I would faint. My heart was just pounding watching this. Just the fact that his body is probably in there would just kill my soul. I love and miss him so much...he was an amazing man....the Man he saw in the mirror...if only he could have seen himself as we do. Rest easy and be happy our King you deserve all the love and happiness Heaven has to offer....God knows you gave yours to us so readily.

Thank you for filming this and sharing it. There are millions of MJ fans who have not seen the crypt, or Holly Terrace inside and this is a beautiful film. I personally have spoken to the security who closed MJ's open casket and placed him in position. The fact that there is no name on the crypt is a family choice not a sign he is alive. Rest in Peace For All Time Michael. Your are missed beyond measure.

This is a public resting place where the fans can pay their respects....Michael has been reclaimed by his family and is at another location. I'm sure we can all respect that

I know he will never see this.😭😭😭! But I still look up to him. He is a huge insparation for someone so small. Watching this made me cry so much that hes gone, but i'm so happy that I know hes safe and finally in a happy place, we miss you so much Michael and there will be no one like you again we all love you so much from the bottom of our hearts
