Planting a Flowering Dogwood

We begin the first in our series on planting small ornamental trees in a new part of our garden. In this video I cover everything you need to know on the requirements, considerations, planting and care of a Cornus Kousa var. chinensis.

That’s going to be beautiful! I have a Kousa and it’s lovely! The bracts on mine are pink. The Autumn color of the Kousa is fantastic! I love the water tubing in the planting hole, such a great idea! Thanks for a great, instructional video!

I think a Magnolia Sieboldii would be fabulous in your new area -Its got the most stunning flowers in summer which are followed by the most unusal and sculptural seed heads in the autumn. It grows at Coton Manor Garden which is near me, and looks stunning throughout the year. I know you've already decided the tree varieties, but might be worth squeezing another one!

I have a query .Are cornus kousa edible? Probably you will write it depends .But my next question is ... I have heard that some are not edible but if they are not edible are they toxic or only not edible?

Our Cornus Kausa Milky Way still has no leaves begin april, is that normal?
