AFRAID TO EAT?😭

Friends, we need to talk
.
I say this with absolute 💛
.
But cutting out more + more foods in pursuit of healing skin rashes may not work
.
And it can lead u to a disordered relationship with food
.
To the point that ur afraid to eat
.
And that u come to believe that everything u eat could be triggering or flaring ur skin
.
No one goes down this path to stop skin rashes to end up w/ an eating disorder
.
Cutting foods decreases diet diversity (that's bad for ur gut microbiome)
.
As well as increases your risk of nutrient deficiencies (which can absolutely negatively impact ur skin AND ur health)
.
I'm concerned that this community thinks that food + diet is the last resort (👏 IT'S NOT 👏)
.
And there are people who find their skin gets worse the "cleaner" their diet becomes or as they cut out more foods
.
Diet is absolutely powerful but it's not everything
.
I work with sooooo many people who have been backed into a corner afraid to eat anything bc of books they've read + advice from FB group (or even a practitioner)
.
▶️Diet is only ONE of 16 root causes!◀️
.
And when skin rashes are chronic, diet changes may not be enough
.
