the most crucial part of this technique is the backward movement and its only shown a few seconds :-D

Yeah, Yeah...people learn that kind of Viennese Waltz moves and when they are in a ball-event they can´t dance like that because the dancefloor is packed with other people around so there is not the space to do any of that...for dancing Viennese Waltz like it is shown here which is to be fair a totally legit way to dance the Viennese Waltz, no doubt BUT simply not practical and no option in a ballroom scenario with many other people on the dancefloor..you only can dance Viennese Waltz like that when you have the whole dancefloor for your own..just saying.

I don´t know for what kind of people he is teaching that..when those are lessons for "professionals" for doing the professional sport "ballroom dance" then OK because those are then dancing on an empty dancefloor in a tournament setting ..but for ordinary people who just want to learn to dance Viennese Waltz for a dancing event at the weekend it is totally not OK because it is then not doable on a dancefloor packed with other people. There you need other Viennnese Waltz steps to learn for having just one or two square feet space.
