In this moving panel discussion from SAND 19 Zaya Bennazzo asks Thomas Hübl, Charles Eisenstein, Bayo Akomolafe and Cynthia Jurs to share their insights about the climate crisis, and our human response to it. After members of the audience offer examples of how climate change has affected them, the suggestion is made that what is happening here is in fact a funeral service, and what humanity is feeling is grief. There are rich presentations from the panelists, all of whom share the perspective that the issues we are facing arise from the attitude that planet earth is separate from us. The telling of myths and stories brings light to the discussion, which concludes that the beginning of the road to healing is the understanding that we are the planet.
